[x] "You're immortal and furthermore both seem willingly engaged in it, so I can't say there is really any harm in it for yourselves, and you both seem socially-minded enough that you don't involve other who might be hurt by it."
[x] "However, from my perspective as a mortal, it is a little disheartening to know that even where all the great problems in the outside to be resolved, to the point where no one had fear of death, that there is still a drive to war with each other for interminable periods of time for arbitrary reasons--though I suspect the motivations for you have changed over time, seeing as you cannot actually kill each other."
[x] "There's also the visceral, aesthetic reaction. Having Mokou's dismembered body rain upon me over a earned slight, and watching the school teacher cry her heart out as result, left a rather bad taste in my mouth."
[x] "You both seem to still enjoy living, no matter how much time must have passed since you became this way. Let me ask you a question, Princess, from a mortal to an immortal: If either you or Mokou had suddenly became mortal again, would you still seek to kill each other with such abandon?"
[x] After all that heavy talk, suggest a game of cards? No more coffee for you though.
[?] Check the time.
After a moment of thought, you tell her your answer.
"You're immortal and furthermore both seem willingly engaged in it, so I can't say there is really any harm in it for yourselves, and you both seem socially-minded enough that you don't involve others who might be hurt by it."
"Yes, that's something we established early on. I suppose the Dirty One keeps her wrath for me alone since she gets along just fine with the Inabas and is decent with Eirin." Kaguya responds.
"I've noticed." You say while giving a smile to Yue that she returns. Turning back to Kaguya, your expression turns somber. "However, from my perspective as a mortal, it is a little disheartening to know that even were all the great problems in the outside to be resolved, to the point where no one had fear of death, that there is still a drive to war with each other for interminable periods of time for arbitrary reasons." You say while bringing your coffee to your lips for a sip. Ugh, doesn't taste any better. Funny, that. "Though I suspect the motivations for you have changed over time, seeing as you cannot actually kill each other."
"Well, I cannot speak for Little Mokou, but I've always done it for fun. I understand how a mortal like yourself can see it so bleakly, though. All of you have death as this great, looming thing waiting for you while we have no such worry. it's quite liberating." A strange look enters Kaguya's eyes as she speaks. You think better of remarking on it, since it disappears as quickly as it came.
"Well, there's also the visceral, aesthetic reaction. Having Mokou's dismembered body rain upon me over a earned slight, and watching the school teacher cry her heart out as result, left a rather bad taste in my mouth." You grip at your cup as you speak. You don't care how pass? dying may be for Mokou, what Yukari did to her really raises your hackles.
"Hmm, I suppose that's another thing. As much as I like seeing Mokou's insides tossed around, that schoolteacher is just so softhearted. it's hard to work up feelings of murder when a nice woman like her is watching on the verge of tears.."
"I see. Must put a damper on the whole evening." You say, completely deadpan.
"Yes, nobody's heart in into it when she's there. Little Mokou is more worried about how the teacher is doing and I end up feeling bad about the whole thing. Nowadays she relaxes and has tea with Eirin so we can fight in peace."
"She's quite sensitive about the whole thing, then."
"Mostly. She's also been known to go into a kind of berserk rage at times and rip me apart. it's quite shocking to see her get so enraged, but I suppose it makes sense. Little Mokou was her mentor and surrogate elder sister, after all. Poor thing." Kaguya gives a ladylike laugh before taking another sip of coffee. She certainly is lighthearted about this whole thing.
"You know, there's something about your fights that I've been wondering. You both seem to still enjoy living, no matter how much time must have passed since you became this way. Let me ask you a question, Princess, from a mortal to an immortal: If either you or Mokou had suddenly became mortal again, would you still seek to kill each other with such abandon?" Kaguya stares at you a moment after you ask.
"What a useless question. it's literally impossible for such a thing to happen." She finally responds.
"Hypothetically, then." Once again, Kaguya becomes quiet. After a few moments she lets out a sigh.
"Hell, I don't know. I guess not since I'd lose someone to mess with. She'd probably still want to kill me, though."
"I see. Well, that answers my question. That aside, care to play a game of cards?" You say while producing your deck. This gets Kaguya and Yue's attention and the three of you are soon playing a rousing game of Blackjack.
?
Turns out that Yue really has a talent for this game. After telling her the rules she took to them quite readily and even took over as the dealer. Huh. Well, after a while of playing Princess Kaguya stretches out and yawns.
"Mister Mills, do not take this as an affront to your company, but I am feeling quite tired and am in need of rest." She says while suppressing another yawn.
"Oh? Even after your coffee?"
"I'm afraid caffeine has little effect on me. Just ask Eirin. For now, I bid you adieu, Sir Pup and little lady Inaba." Kaguya says while rising. After bidding her farewell, you play a few more hands with Yue as you contemplate what to do. You pull out your watch for a quick check.
?: 6:01 p.m.

Yeah, not quite the "writefagging it up" I had intended. Seems that quite a bit more dust accumulated than previously thought.
