Yaffy: Well, let's see... Naturally, the character-specific routes have H-scenes related to their character (and maybe some more). NANAYA ends have H-scenes only if you reach them before the ending flag goes off. After that, it's all KILL KILL KILL action. HAREM wouldn't be harem without H-scenes. FAMILY TIES is more of a mindfuck kinda route, but I think it has at least one H-scene. FOREST... Yeah, FOREST has hot interspecies sex. And CATASTROPHE... Only one H-scene, but it's a fucking hatesex.

Basically, it's a paradox. If you trigger a TWIN flag (which was eating on the front steps in your previous playthrough), then Mima will be killed. Of course, if you have enough Mima points, you will be with her at the moment of attack, so you will be able to defend her. But having that many Mima points sets you on MIMA route. So, the only way to help Mima is to get enough points (be on Mima route), or don't trigger the TWIN flag.
In one of the routes though, even if TWIN flag was raised, Mima won't be killed, because you ought to have enough Mima points at that point... But it's not MIMA route but another one.

... am I making any sense?

So basically, there is a route other than Mima's that gives you enough points to be with her at the time of attack, so she won't die even if the TWIN flag was active.
