Really? Really now? Just when I thought you shitstains couldn't get any lower, surprise, you fucking got me. I can't even bring myself to full-caps anymore EXCEPT WHENEVER I THINK THAT YOU'RE ALL FUCKING FAGGOTS, WHICH IS ALL THE TIME
HOW IN THE FUCK? DO YOU EVEN READ? LET ME RESPOND TO THAT RHETORICAL QUESTION. THE ANSWER IS, "YES, BUT YOU ARE SO RETARDED THAT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST POSSBILITY OF FUCKING UP WILL MAKE YOU FUCK UP."
FUCK.
______________
Reisen lowers her head, resting against the frame of the table. She opens her mouth, but the words that come out are inaudible. The girl realizes this and repeats herself, just a little more loudly. "Yes," she says. "Yes, you would. Unfortunately, that is precisely the person you are.."
The bunny-eared girl pauses. She rubs her cheek numbly. There is a look in her eyes, and, from your assessment, it is one of confusion. "Huh."
You cock your head at her, eyeing her purple hair. "What's the matter, Miss?"
"No, no," she says, waving her hand up in the air. "It's nothing. I just felt..."
Reisen ducks underneath the table, dodging your prodding glances. She keeps herself still but makes no attempt to hide her quickly reddening cheeks. The rabbit's ears wilt considerably, drooping low enough to brush against her disheveled, purple hair. Her usual shirt-and-tie attire is missing, replaced by a short cut kimono. A fake satin flower rests over the side of her ears - her human ears. SHE IS UNMISTAKABLY PRETTY. SO PRETTY THAT YOU COULD SAY YES TO HER IF SHE CONFESSED TO YOU. ?Is..."she whispers, "is it all true? They weren't lying to me?"
She blinks, absentmindedly cupping her face with her hands. The rabbit sits down on the chair, crossing her legs. Uncomfortably, she tugs at her blazer to give the collar a quick pull-down. "There it is again. What did I just say right there?"
"You said, 'There it is again,'? you repeat calmly.
"No, not that," she laughs, before adopting a more sober face. "What did I say before that?"
"Oh, that's easy." Right before that, she said... well, she said. She said, something ? you know that. But what was that something? ?You said... hmm. I cannot recall. What were we even talking about before, Miss? wait a second."
"I do not know how to respond to that.."
EXCEPT YOU DO.
"Now, why would they lie about that?" You murmur gently, coaxing Reisen out from underneath the furniture. SHE IS UNMISTAKABLY CUTE. SO CUTE THAT IT MAY BE QUITE POSSIBLE THE REASON WHY YOU CHASED HER IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS BECAUSE YOU LOVED HER. The place is messy; a full two years of absence would do that, though. A thin line of dust coats everything but the mirrors, which, for obvious reasons, remain impeccable. You put your mind away from the thought of cleansing the place - it would be absolutely impossible. "Would I be here if they lied to you?"
You drop your growing smile and cover your mouth with your hand. "I?pmffffht'do not fi?hahaah?nd that funny in the slightest. At all.? SO CUTE.
Reisen furrows her brow. "Why would that be funny?"
You blink. "I don't. That's..."
What?
That'll convince Reisen.
A bullet whirls past you, inches away from your face. It didn't. Reisen, slight tears in her eyes, has a look on her face that you don't quite understand. There's been a whole lot of that lately: things you don't quite understand. But the good news is that she has exited the tablegrounds.
The rabbit's entire face is now glowing pink. "I understand that I have no rational reason to be angry, but to that I say, fuck being rational.."
You wait patiently until Reisen traces the rest of your figure with her bullets. Thankfully, the bullets are ephemeral. Every bullet disappears in a fit of purple smoke - a wisp of what once could have splattered your brains out. After she is finished, you speak. "Then, what is your reason for running?"
Reisen breathes. It is a full-breath. "It's-because-I-realized-I-love-you-and-as-you-know-I-am-very-bad-with-dealing-with-my-emotions-and-how-do-I-tell-you-that-in-a-way-that-someone-as-st
upid-as-you-might-understand-I-don't-know-okay?"
"Whoa," you gasp. The rabbit before you said something incredible, didn't she? "Are you serious?"
"Um." The bunny-eared girl scratches her head, ruffling her hair a little bit. Her ears twitch. She crawls out from underneath the table. The table, huh? "Why did I say that?"
With a laugh, you shrug at the girl. "How am I supposed to answer that? You tell me."
She blushes a little, sticking out her lower lip. "I take it back."
Your reply is left unanswered. Reisen makes no attempt to clear herself from beneath the table. You inch your hand toward her, but ultimately retract it. BECAUSE SHE'S TOO BEAUTIFUL.. She would merely shy away if you made such brash a move.
?But, if you believe them now, then why are you still running away?" you ask.
"It's for a completely different reason, now!" Reisen Udongein Inaba lifts herself up, or at least attempts to - before striking her head against the underbelly of the table. And so, she decides to squirm, weep, and spit out varying degrees of ?fuck? over the newly crested bump on her head. "And - god this hurts, don't you laugh at that!"
The air is heavy. A crushing weight tramples over your shoulders. You can't move at all. Your vision blurs; tears fill your eyes. An ear-splitting ringing echoes through your head. The house crumbles into dust - into nothingness. Then, just as it came, it disappears??and more than that. Clouds obscure your thoughts, but it is as if nothing happened. More specifically, it is as if something happened, but something else made it unhappen.
A purple-haired, bunny-eared girl stares at you. You squint. "Did something just?"
"Never mind that," she retorts, cutting you off. She kneads her temple with her knuckles. How rough. "I'm getting a serious headache right here.."
"Odd," you say under your breath. "So very odd."
The rabbit stops to turn to you. "I can't shake off this feeling that something like this has happened before."
"Has it?" You do not seem to recall. Wait. ?Actually, you might be onto something. I think that..."
"I hate you? wait, no! What I mean to say is that I don't hate you at all but as of right now I'm voicing my current displeasure at your own stupidity at this moment in time! In fact, my general disposition is mostly the opposite, exceptions being when you annoy me to no end! Just?just, give me a moment." Reisen inhales and exhales, pacing back and forth in a perfectly straight line. She turns. "The point is, despite my terrible use of the English language, I love you. I figured it out kinda on the way here. I kept chasing you and chasing you, wanting you to come back, hanging onto the word of that dumb bunny who has only lied to me since the day I met her. Pretty stupid of me. When you found me, all I could do was run. But, uh, what I'm trying to say that is I love you and that brings us to the next question, which is, um... do you love me?"
"Don't you think that this is a little weird?" you ask. "I know that something's not right here. Not right at all."
She sits down on the top of the table. "I'm getting a headache."
"Another one?"
The rabbit turns. "What do you mean, 'Another one?'?
"Wait. What was your na?"
