hi, I've been wanting to write a yukkuri story but I'm an extremely poor writer but i will try my best. any help/criticism is appreciated. First things first: character creation

Do you think we care if this is your first attempt, or your second, or your third? Do you think we care if you're nervous? No. All we care about is if the story is good--WELL-WRITTEN--or not. You wake up on to the sounds of birds and cicadas chirpping. Its been half a year since arriving here in Gensokyo after getting lost during a camping trip. Living alone in a small house by a stream you live walking distance to the village but far enough so that it would be a bother to walk to your home on a whim. To make money you sell vegetables from your garden and fish that you catch. You don't really need it but it's always good to have some right? You know almost everyone's name and are on good terms but you aren't really close to anyone. You hop out of bed and get dressed putting on a pair of jeans and a clean shirt. After you wash your face in the stream. Heading back inside you ....

Huh. That explains why it had nice quality and was pretty good for a yukkuri based story.

Hey, if HY finished writing SDM:Hacked Modo, then he can write the Yukkuri story too! He always wrote two at the same time...

Then write, but keep it to yourself. If you honestly don't think it's good, don't share it. If you aren't OP then this applies to OP as well. Do not start a story on here unless you're willing to put the work into it. Do not start a story unless you're reasonably convinced you can make it interesting. Do not start a story just because it seems like the cool thing to do.

And OP specifically; if you really want to write a yukkuri story, write a regular yukkuri story and post it on /jp/ or pooshlmer. There's no need to adopt the CYOA format. Plus they're more tolerant of poor writing.

I have no idea what OP stands for even though I've been reading here for more than half a year. I'm guessing OP stands for something like a thread starter and if that's the case, no.

With that aside, I wouldn't actually say that I'm a horrible writer but I'm not exactly a great writer too. I'm just not too sure about where I stand and what others would think of the ideas. I guess I'll just start writing for some other stuff elsewhere before I think about a Touhou CYOA. Worried about screwing up so I guess if it's something else, it wouldn't be that bad.
