>>Basic questions first: your favourite, least favourite, easiest to write, and hardest to write posts. Favourite: The wall-jumping near the start.
Least Favourite: Not sure, but I hate writing long descriptions, lots of dialogue is much better.
Easiest: Again, delicious dialogue. Not sure about any post in particular, but for some reason the H-scenes just flowed without any effort at all.
Hardest: Fight scenes, always, though I really like them once they're done.
>>What mix of canon and fanon were you using for characterisation? Were some characters more influenced by canon representations (and vice versa)? Remilia got a lot of canon, but then I had to add some fanon of my own with her being in love. I hope it worked, but I also hope to keep her more canon in other routes.
Sakuya was heavy on the fanon. Lots of angry, lots of knives, none of her being an airhead. She will probably stay like this. Although does
Dio count as canon or fanon? Either way, it'll be good.
Flandre was something I cooked up myself. WuiG already gave us insane Flandre, so I took a different approach. All her canon stuff is still in there, wrapped in a blanket of fanon ℳℴℯ.
Meiling is pretty much canon, taken to a logical conclusion. All the stuff I added (ie. her room) is just how I see her canon character playing out as normal. But, there will be quite a bit more fanon for her in other routes, but it won't change her core character at all.
Patchouli is canon. I haven't really added much to her character, but may well do so during her route depending on how she feels to write.
Koakuma? Do I even need to tell you? It's mostly my own interpretation, mixed with some of her from doujins.
>>When we were freaking out about the letter for the first time, you offered a hint about its contents and we refused. What was the hint going to be? I honestly can't remember, I think it was going to be something about it being safe for you to read it yourself.
>>Anything that surprised you as the story went on? A lot of things, the sheer awesome of some of the write-ins (especially the one that led to Flandre's story time and Smaug.) Generally a lot of things that the characters did that I didn't plan, which just seemed right and led to a better scene.
>>Anything you wanted to write this playthrough but we missed? Lots of things. The top of the list has to be the Remilia vs. Mokou scene, which you were so far away from I gave up all hope of writing it.
>>About how many times were we within a single choice of getting bad ended? Dozens.
>>Did you use any visual references for the basement ghouls? Lovecraft's Ghouls, particularly how they are portrayed in the Call of Cthulhu rpg.
>>We saw a lot of characters from around Gensokyo; was there the potential to see just about anyone depending on our choices, or were some areas (and their associated characters) completely out of the question? You could have seen almost anyone, barring Tenshi, Iku and the TH11 characters, for obvious reasons.
>>What question do you wish we would ask right now? 'Is that so~?'
>>17146 I will say right now, it doesn't work like this. And for the last time, there is no 'Kohaku' route.
>>What title will you give to this story? Expectation of Sanguine Disorder.
ie. Waiting for a bloody mess. >>what did Meiling and Sakuya talk about in private? About Sakuya's future, about how they felt, about the past few days. Sakuya had a little breakdown, Meiling held her.
>>If we go for Meiling's path, will she be straight, and will Remilia play bedtop sports with her dog? Wait and see.
>>If we go for Flan's path, will we *not* encounter the thing in the attic? Correct, Flandre's path is utterly different, dealing with different things.
>>I'm curious....What if we discretely mentioned to someone (Patchouli) that Gensokyo is known in the outside world by way of the Touhou games? Hilarity ensues.
>>HY, any possibility of a EX Rumia cameo? Very.
After all, how can I resist some self-insertion? >>How soon are you starting up again, HY? Give me a few days. I'm actually going to be pretty busy this summer (not working means doing other things), but I will find at least some time to write every day.
>>Will asking about Remi/Patchi's path carry over to Patchi's route, or do we have to get Remi to tell us again in order to initiate it next time? Sorry, I don't understand.
>>Also, HY, what was your favourite and worst part/moment during the making of the CYOA? Favourite: Other than the writing itself? Watching Anon chase his own behind, not knowing what to do.
Worst: Being stuck at work, coming up with ideas and not being able to write them down.
>>How the fuck did Sakuya carry out her whole "knock us out, abduct us from Remi's bed, dress us, arm us, and dump our ass into the underground" plan while in the state she was in? Did the fairies really help her? How did they get us under that grate, if it looked to be too heavy for even us to move? How did they even get roped into doing it? And what happened to Frisca? After that scene where we got dressed in front of her, we pretty much never heard or saw her again. She healed a lot faster than it looked, although she wasn't at full strength. The Fairies did not help her, they would have informed Remilia simply with how worked up they would have got over something like that. I can't tell you why or how Sakuya was healing faster than it looked, because you never found out about that on this route. The grating? Stopping time makes the entire world a non-event, so why would you need strength to lift anything?
Frisca lives in the Mansion with the rest of the Maids, wistfully dreaming of a time she peeked over her shoulder and saw a human male changing. She liked it. In fact she liked it so much she keeps trying to peek on you sometimes, Remilia puts up with it because she can't bring herself to hurt someone who is just admiring you. She knows the Maids would never touch you.
>>Be honest HY: Do you really have it in you to do several playthroughs of this story? Eh, I don't know. I want to write them all. I have a lot to get done this summer, but I will have more free time come the end of September. I'll admit, I want to write other things, first and foremost right now being my part of the Touhou VN Project. I might slow right down with this sometimes, but if I still have readers and free time, then I would like to keep going, at least at some kind of rate. Don't expect any serious slowdown or stopping at the moment though.
Also there's Pirates of Gensokyo, if anyone is up for it.
>>when did you think of the vampire in the tower? right from the beginning or did this idea cross your mind during the playthrough? It wasn't there from the start, but got thrown in when I was brainstorming ideas a couple of days into writing.
>>Surprised nobody's asked this yet, but HY, what route do you want to write next? Any of them! Really, I'm geared up for anything.
>>Did Meiling and Sakuya get married or did they continue to live in sin? If they did, who was the bride, who the groom?
Live in sin? Right, I'm going to say something really annoying now. Did I ever once say outright that Sakuya and Meiling's relationship was a sexual one? I didn't, although it may have been suggested.
>>17195 To be fair, I would have let you go one choice back after either of the Sad Ends. It was only the Normal End which you would have been stuck with.
