[X] "If I don't have anything to bargain with, then tell, what do you want me to do in exchange? There must be something you want that I can do for you if you help me."
With another hard pull, Mokou pulls you up and bends forward, throwing you over her. You expected it, and catch yourself as soon as she releases you, landing on your feet in front of her.
“If I don't have anything to bargain with, then tell me what you want instead,” you say as Mokou straightens back up. “There's got to be something you want, and if you help with this now, I'll help you out later.” Mokou smirks at that, and starts walking towards you.
“Too bad I don't want anything then,” she says. “Other than for you to leave me alone.” She stops for a moment in front of you, and gives you a condescending look. She starts to take another step, but you reach your hands to her shoulders and stop her. She swats one of your hands away, but otherwise doesn't seem too concerned about your effort as she tries to walk around you. You're not putting up with this anymore. If she's not going to tell you what she wants, you're going to find out for yourself. You release your hands, and Mokou flashes you a grin and walks past you. You turn to Letty, pulling the sword from your hip.
“Catch this,” you say, tossing it to her. She moves to intercept, and you turn back towards Mokou. You take a quick step forward and reach out to touch her again. She turns to swat your hand away, and you catch her by the wrist. That seems to get her attention. She turns towards you now, reaching to grab your hand, and you lock your free hand over the other.
“What, do you think you're going to drag me to Hakugyokuro? Like this?” Mokou muses, shaking her arm. You grin back at her.
“No, I'll take you there myself,” you say, focusing your energy into your hands. Her confidence seems to be spotted slightly by confusion to the last second, when you press your hands together and sink them into Mokou's body, transferring yourself into her. You're immediately greeted by a flash of heat as you assume control, and it overwhelms you. Mokou seems to be consciously resisting the possession, but this heat?
Intruder!
Your mind reels, still not wholly attached to Mokou's soul yet. What was that? Where did that voice come from?
You dare wrest my vessel from me?
Through the faint control you have, you see the world through a fish-eye lens from within Mokou's head. Her vision is filled with fire, and within the fire, a pattern emerges, two blazing blue points of light within a swirling mass of orange.
The strength of the Phoenix will not be thwarted by a mortal soul.
You're finding yourself becoming more and more detached. What minor control you had of Mokou is slipping away as you feel yourself being forcefully purged. Focus, focus! You need to focus, even if you can last a few seconds longer. You're vaguely aware of sounds, screaming in the distance it seems. You focus all your will into controlling Mokou, forcing your way into her mind. You try to call up her memories, her thoughts, anything that she might have on her mind.
“If I don't have anything to bargain with, then tell me what you want instead,” you say as you enter Mokou's vision once more. Recent memory, good. “There's got to be something you want-” With that, a flash of memory, a blue dress, white hair... Keine? You lose control of Mokou's thoughts, and you feel the surge of heat get stronger.
Begone!
With a surge of power, you're expelled from Mokou's body. You can still feel the lingering heat even as you make distance, and for once you clearly see what had been speaking to you. A large, burning Phoenix has enveloped Mokou, and it watches you with it's eyes of blue flame as you retreat. You're still formless, though you quickly correct that. As you do, however, you notice that the Phoenix fades once you re-enter the physical realm, where Mokou simply seems to be holding her head in pain. She looks up at you regardless, grinning wider than before.
“Tough luck, kid, I'm full,” she says with a short laugh, shaking her head. “There's no more room in my soul for-”
“Keine will die if you don't help me,” you say, and Mokou stops, her face dropping into shock, then proceeding into anger.
“What did you say?” Mokou says, straightening out.
“You thought of Keine when I mentioned anything you want,” you say, and Mokou seems to get angrier. “She means something to you, doesn't she? You just going to let her die? Flandre will go berserk with hunger, she won't stay in Hakugyokuro for long after that. You can bet your eternal ass that the first place she'll go is the human village, and Keine will head out to try to protect it, just like she did that one night.” You note a very clear look of distress cross Mokou's face for a few seconds before her anger returns.
“You're out of your god damned mind,” Mokou growls, taking a step forward then stopping. She's hesitating about something. Running at you? Running to the human village?
“If you just come with me now, there'll be no trouble. No fighting, no danger. You won't need to risk Keine,” you say. “You just need to sacrifice some of your blood.” Mokou glares at you, and makes to speak, but she stops before she even begins. She doesn't move for several seconds.
“You're a real asshole, you know that,” she says finally. “Come to my house, intrude on my property, body and privacy and in the end, you want me to die to help you out,” she spits, walking towards you. You brace yourself in case she tries to hit you. Instead, she simply walks past you. “I don't know what I'm going to do to you yet to pay you back for this, but you can be damn sure you're going to hate every minute of it.” You're stunned for a minute, but then manage a small, relieved smile.
“So you-”
“Shut the fuck up and lets go before I change my mind,” Mokou barks. You don't need to be told twice. You look to Letty, who has retreated to the edge of the clearing with your sword and nod to her. She flies up at the same time you do, and you look behind to see Mokou following you as well. She still looks pissed, but at least she's following you. You don't waste any time heading back.

In the end, it seems that Patchouli hadn't gotten back yet by the time you return. You were greeted by Alice and Youmu, the latter who was wearing a fresh bandage on her left forearm and seemed even paler than normal. Both seems very relieved to see you, and surprised to see Mokou. You only stop to get a brief report on the situation. The tea had been made, and Flandre drank the entire pot in one go, but it really only was enough to stave off her thirst for a short while. It had been long enough to give Meiling a rest, at least, who had to be removed from the room in order to keep Flandre from trying to drink more from her. You hurry off to Flandre's room, with Mokou in tow. Along the way, Letty leaves, so it ends with you and Mokou standing outside the door to the room.
“Thank you again,” you say. “Really, I can't express how thankful I am.”
“Save it,” Mokou mumbles, opening the door. The room is even worse off than it was before. There's more blood on the bed and floor, and Flandre is even more covered in red. Even from the door you can hear her heavy breathing, seeing her slumped against the wall. You'd think she was unconscious if it weren't for the bright red glow behind her eyes. She makes a sound when you enter behind Mokou, something like a sigh with a tune.
“Kenshiro, you brought me breakfast!” Flandre says, sitting forward. Her wings twitch erratically as Mokou gets closer. “Meiling had to go, Alice said she wasn't feeling very well.”
“Mokou agreed to come out here for you,” you say. Mokou proceeds towards the bed, looking around at the mess only slightly.
“Hey Flandre,” Mokou says, reaching the side of the bed. Flandre seems like she's barely able to control herself.
