It feels a bit weird to start with her... but because it's the week of American thanksgiving, let's draw the cute harvest goddess Minoriko Aki.

Drawn with chilly, shivering fingers. If I'm going to have to wear gloves indoors in order to be able to bend them without discomfort then at least one of us should be snug and comfortable.
Also tried for a different artstyle this time. Was going to go all the way and work in 16 colours with pattern dithering but I decided not to heap too much onto my plate all at once. That's some holiday wisdom right there, you know. Flexible stuff it is. Doesn't just apply to potatoes and stuffing.

I honestly wanted to spend more time with this and generally effort more, but I honestly don't know how to deal with... well, any part of it. The anatomy, the expression, the fabric folds, the hair — any of it. Eyeballing other drawings got me about here and no further. So, yeah.
If you're wondering what the SAM HILL it's supposed to be: it's Letty lounging around in a t-shirt and shorts like she's at home or something. I dunno. Not a lot of thought went into the concept, if I'm honest.

Color Pencils are an excruciatingly slow medium to work with; especially if you want to create crisp edges and even tones with the pores of the paper not shining through. I may have shot myself in the foot with that.
May post the result sometimes - or never, depends.
Cutting back on doing things that take an eternity, here's lily drawn with fineliner.

That one was nigh torturous to get right. And then I notice flaws I have become blind to while working after taking the picture.
I can understand why folks would utilise those 3D doll programs, whatever they may be called, to work figures in that exaggerated perspective that's so prevelant in anime and manga.
Well, given AI continues to become more prevalent and sophisticated I wonder how much it will be integrated and possibly replace parts of media production. The allure of getting parts of the busywork done (like gridding perspective, man that took so much time that I didn't really enjoy and it was only a single figure in a white void, ahhh) just seems so great for folks who are pressed by their publishers to release the next issue by the end of next week of the previous month.
But that's opening a topic of discussion that I don't think is quite perfectly suited for this hidden forum of Vietnamese hobbyist veterinary clinicians.
