Reporting in. was pleasantly suprised to see THP is still alive. i like it so far. i know it wasn't intended to be but this is probably one of the very first altchan and i barely see anyone mentioning it compared to the alternatives

I'm also surprised it took this long, but THP isn't exactly at the top of my list of places to shitpost 2hus so I don't blame anyone for looking elsewhere first. It just sucks warosu is unusable to find and coordinate with other /jp/sies because its buried under thousands of vtumor and idol posts.

On the topic of THP, what I'd like to know is where the HSE writers have gone off too. They made an IRC channel a year ago after the autosage kerfuffle, but I checked and they don't seem to be there.

Seeing people vanish without a trace is really depressing, I hope we find our ways somewhere soon. I know for a fact not everyone is keen to go back to 4chan.

Also holy shit the alice papercraft guy (oldest living thread on 4chan >>>/po/) also posted the exact same thread here, at the same day.

As a person who formerly worked on the project, I can say the two remaining writers, the TakaneAnon and the Rananon are the only ones still working on it aside from the editor/archiver.
The archiever is in contact with the Rananon, but Takaneanon or Takanon as his ao3 account is called, doesn't like to coordinate outside of 4chan and thinks that's its gay.
When 4chan comes up in a couple week they'll probably just dump what they have then.

I can't believe the HSE got so bloated and ran so long that 4chan itself died before it did.

Wrote for other threads and was about to make a new one right before the site got hacked since it had been a month since the last thread. Glad to see some /jp/sies around. Supposedly 4chan will be back up in 2-3 weeks.

Rananon got so distracted he wrote a whole entire other story inside of the HSE just to kill time and ended up taking a lot of air out of the room when he and Takanon would end up writing the ending themselves and solving the bloat by just killing off a bunch of characters like the entirety of Makai and off screening the minor characters they hate.
Lasted so long the ao3 version of the KMS is on its penultimate chapter.

I still hope /jp/ gets revived soon. It was cancer, yes, but I still loved it. Will stay here and catch up on the great writefagging everyone here did through the years

To start I'd keep an eye on the front page's updated stories section. These are the stories that are active and you'll be able to vote on without pissing in the wind. A few of them are quite lengthy but some you don't have to read the whole thing to vote if you don't care about spoilers. For example Gooboi's Redo/Reimu stories are mostly self-contained so you just have to read the specific character thread to get up to speed, the current active one memoria/marisa is especially self-contained so start there if you fancy the fanfic.
Other than that search for stories on the story list section which should be near the top of the page. Ones tagged "shorts" or "completed" are your best bet for a sound reading experience 'coz they're actually finished. You may want to search for the writing contests that happen every so often as well, to do that put "various" into the author field in the search bar on the story list page. To find what you want (Specific author, character, tropes) just put your query into the fields. Have fun!

I'd also say look on the boards at stuff that's updated within the past couple of years but maybe not super recently. The writers of those things are often still around and might be politely nudged back into it if you can find them on the Discord/Matrix. Worse comes to worse and they're not there, start talking about it in >>/gensokyo/17303 and maybe they'll notice or someone will write a copycat for easy attention.

Are you that guy who posted that short Tsukasa story before jp went down? I now you said it's finished, but thought i could probably be improved on and I'd like to see it posted here.

You don't have to worry, I'm already aware of the site. But as I didn't make all of the Tsukasa posts and wanted to take a crack at it again, I've started rewriting it a bit. Additionally, I'm a bit busy, but with the progress I already have made so far, I'll be able to post it here on the 24th.

We'll be waiting warmly. I never actually went to /jp/ myself, so I'm curious to see what stories come from the refugees.

I do my best ot make them self-contained enough for people to pick their favourite of the five and dive in, though Youmu and Kosuzu's chapters feature a post-arc Akyuu and Reimu respectively. If you want a quick run through of the core premise, I recommend reading the first update of the first thread and then deciding from there. all the other arcs start immediately after it chronologically, and you'll know from that update whether you like the premise or not.
